Movie Review: Dracula: The Dark Prince

Don’t Let the Snaggle Tooth Cover Fool You!

This is one of my favorite Dracula movies ever. I’m not sure how many times I’ve watched it, but it’s a lot. I have no idea why they’ve put snaggly teeth in poor Rudolph Martin’s mouth on the cover because their’s nothing like this in the movie. Told as more of a historical look at Vlad Dracul’s life, it weaves in his brutal ways, his quest for freedom for his family and his people, his sweet, and eternal romance with the woman he loves, and the mystery that surrounds the legend of Dracula.

The cast was all awesome, and I love that they fit the role of Romanians, Turks, etc, so not a lot of blue eyed blondes when in reality there really wouldn’t have been. If you love stories about Dracula and vampire mythology in general, you have to add this movie to your library of keepers!
